Anything Goes Challenge - Polka Dot Birthday

Good Morning,
Today we have a new challenge at Anything Goes and our challenge this fortnight is Polka Dot Birthday and I made an easel drawer card for my niece's 16th birthday.

I chose Saturated Canary - Double Take as I thought she looked just like Sally.  I love Saturated Canary images they are always so pretty and this one is no exception.

A side view.  The papers are digi from Whimsy Stamps, they are so pretty I had planned to add lace and doilies but the paper just did not need it.

I made frames with the Floral Oval Spellbinders dies, rather than layering as I normally do.

This view shows the inside of the box, it shows the polka dots on the inside and the side of the drawer which were needed for the challenge.

Most of the things I used can be bought at the Craft Den

Coastal walk from Aberdaron

This has nothing to do with cards, but I thought you might like to see the beautiful coastal walk we did from Aberdaron today, the weather was beautiful and the scenery was spectacular.

Aberdaron is a small fishing village at the end of the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales.

It was a beautiful 7 mile round walk with quite a few steps up and down into the coves but we really enjoyed it, especially Rosie.

So onto my card, it was my brother-in-laws 70th birthday this week and he loves golf to who else to colour up but Golf Gus.  This is a large 8" card, and the papers are from Betsy Beier, called Vintage Golf.

The two golf embellishments are from Ebay and are buttons.

This is the inside - a huge 70 and more of the paper and a sentiment with a mini Gus completes the card.

Happy Birthday Jack

Good Morning,
I gave my blog a makeover - what do you thing?  It took me a few evenings and I have a few more grey hairs now... LOL.

Anyway onto today's card, this is a card I made for my nephew's 18th Birthday, and what else could I use but Mo Manning, Video Boy.

The stars are cut out on my CraftRobo and then heat embossed with translucent glitter.  The design for the stars came from Bird's Cards - this lady is just so generous with her time and the files she uploads for anyone with a cutting machine to use for free.  There are some super designs on her site. The 18 and Jack I did myself.

A close up of Video Boy.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges. - Anything Goes - Male Card - Male Card - Boys and Their Toys - All Manly Men

Hope you have a great weekend, back on Tuesday with a DT card.

Shhh.... I have a secret

Hello Everyone
What a wet day here... such a shame for the Jubilee weekend, tomorrow is forecast dry so looking forward to a barbeque with family who are coming to join us.

My step-son proposed to his girlfriend last weekend and asked me to making an exploding box to present the ring in.  They went to our caravan in Wales (which is where we are now) and took her out to see the sun set to a little outcrop overlooking the sea, with a bottle of champagne and gave her the box.

It was a bit of rush job as he only gave me a couple of days notice... men what are they like.

These are not the colours I would have chosen, but the the favourite colours of Phil's girlfriend, Michelle, regular followers might remember I made her a Betty Boop card recently using the same colour scheme and same flowers.  The black stones are swarovski crystals no less, I bought a lot last year to decorate some shoes and had these left, they sparkle and catch the light so well.

I designed the square heart shape myself on my CraftRobo - helped make it a bit quicker.

She of course said yes :).

Hope you enjoy my box.
